Rising senior James Chacharone’s summer research proposal was funded by the Center for Molecular Signaling. During James’ fellowship, he will use site-directed mutagenesis to broaden the kinds of substrates that radical SAM enzymes can activate for dramatic carbon-skeleton rearrangements.
